HAYATE Inc. says the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime is in active production and is slated for release in 2028. The production company’s October 9 update gives a year-level window, not a specific premiere date.
The announcement adds Mayumi Saco and Shinya Fukumatsu to the cast, but does not identify the characters or roles they will play. HAYATE also says it is producing the project in collaboration with PlayStation Productions.
New staff named in the update
The notice credits Keiji Inai for music, Yoshikazu Iwanami for sound direction, Yasumasa Koyama for sound effects and Gyousyou Suzuki for title calligraphy. These credits add more detail about the production, while the public announcement leaves the two new cast members’ character assignments undisclosed.
What is—and is not—confirmed for viewers
For now, 2028 is the confirmed target year in HAYATE’s notice; no month, day, India-specific theatrical plan or local streaming arrangement is stated there. The distinction matters for readers looking for a firm premiere date or territory-by-territory availability.
For a separate anime-film update relevant to Indian viewers, see our coverage of The Apothecary Diaries: The Late Lady’s Treasure, whose rights announcement names India while leaving the local date TBA.
