Crunchyroll has announced an anime adaptation of The Boxer at its New York Comic Con 2026 showcase. The official announcement introduces gifted boxer Yu and trainer K, but lists the release date as “To be announced.” It does not confirm a premiere window or India-specific streaming availability.
What is confirmed about The Boxer anime
The project is part of a partnership involving Crunchyroll, HAYATE and LINE Digital Frontier. Animation Magazine reports that the partners are developing a slate of around 15 potential webtoon adaptations. That is a development pipeline, not confirmation that 15 series have been greenlit.
Crunchyroll’s showcase also named The Remarried Empress and Teenage Mercenary among the first adaptations. Polygon reports the resulting anime are set for exclusive streaming in select territories. That wording does not establish whether India is included, so local platform and release details remain unconfirmed.
Release date and where to watch
For now, the official status is simple: the adaptation is announced, while a release date and India availability have not been specified. We’ll update this story when the distributor publishes those details. Until then, browse TFI Buzz’s guide to 10 anime worth watching for other picks.
