Prabhas is once again gearing up for a massive pan-India release with his upcoming period action drama Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. According to multiple industry reports, the film is targeting a December 3, 2026 theatrical release, although the makers are yet to make an official announcement.
With Prabhas enjoying a huge fan base across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam markets, Fauzi is expected to open on thousands of screens nationwide. As a result, several Bollywood films planning a December release may have to rethink their strategy.
Bollywood Faces Tough Competition
Unlike a regular regional release, Fauzi is being made as a pan-India film and will release in multiple languages, including Hindi. This gives the film a significant advantage at the Indian box office, especially in multiplex chains.
At present, no Bollywood production has officially confirmed a clash with Fauzi on December 3, 2026. However, industry reports suggest that several high-profile Hindi films are aiming for December release windows.
Among them are:
- Chamunda – Reportedly targeting the first week of December.
- King – Expected to arrive during the Christmas holiday season.
- Shakti Shalini – Also looking at a December theatrical release.
While these dates are still subject to change, any film releasing during the first week of December could face stiff competition if Fauzi arrives as planned.
Why Fauzi Is a Big Threat at the Box Office
Prabhas has established himself as one of India’s biggest pan-India stars. Films like Baahubali, Salaar, and Kalki 2898 AD demonstrated his ability to attract audiences across different languages.
With Hanu Raghavapudi directing a period war drama filled with action, emotion, and patriotism, expectations are already sky-high.
The movie also stars Imanvi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Anupam Kher, adding further excitement.

The December holiday season has traditionally been one of the biggest windows for Indian cinema.
If multiple Bollywood films choose to release alongside Fauzi, audiences could witness one of the biggest box-office clashes of 2026. Since Prabhas commands a massive market in both South India and North India, competing films may need exceptional word-of-mouth to secure strong collections.
