The 72nd National Film Awards Telugu winners span five feature films and nine award entries, from Committee Kurrollu to Kalki 2898 AD. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s official results are for films of 2024 and were announced on 18 July 2026. The list below follows the PIB feature-film table and is not a popularity ranking.

How this Telugu winners list was selected

This focused guide includes feature-film rows that PIB explicitly labels “(Telugu)” and awards directly tied to those titles. It records the categories and recipients as published; it does not claim to cover every Telugu-language artist or winners in non-feature sections. The award year and announcement year are different: the results recognise 2024 films, while PIB announced them in 2026.

Committee Kurrollu: Best Telugu Film and Best Make-up

Committee Kurrollu appears in two Telugu feature-film entries. PIB lists it for Best Telugu Film, naming Pink Elephant Pictures and Shree Radha Damodara Studios as producers and Yadhu Vamsee as director. Separately, P Ravi Kumar is named for Best Make-up. The two honours recognise different aspects of the film. See the official Pink Elephant Pictures trailer for film context.

35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu: children’s film and child artist

35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu is listed for Best Children’s Film, with S Originals and Waltair Productions Pvt. Ltd. named as producers and Nanda Kishore Emani as director. The same film’s child performer Arundev Pothula is separately named Best Child Artist. The PIB table is the source for these category and recipient details; the official film trailer offers the film reference.

Pushpa: The Rule Part-02: screenplay and costume design

Pushpa: The Rule Part-02 has two entries in the PIB feature-film list. Bandreddi Sukumar is named under Best Screenplay – Original; the film also receives Best Costume Design, shared by Deepali Noor and Sheetal Sharma. These are separate awards, with the costume honour credited to both designers. Mythri Movie Makers’ official trailer is linked for readers seeking the film’s own promotional material.

Lucky Baskhar: Best Screenplay – Dialogue

For Lucky Baskhar, Venky Atluri is named in the Best Screenplay – Dialogue entry. This is the film’s single Telugu feature-film award entry in the PIB table used for this guide. The official Sithara Entertainments trailer provides a direct film reference; no current streaming-availability claim is made here.

Kalki 2898 AD: popular entertainment and production design

Kalki 2898 AD is recognised for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment; PIB names Vyjayanthi Movies as producer and Nag Ashwin Singireddy as director. The film also appears in Best Production Design, awarded to Nitin Zihani Choudhary. For an official film reference, see Vyjayanthi Network’s Hindi trailer.

At a glance: nine honours across five Telugu films

  • Two entries each: Committee Kurrollu, 35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu, Pushpa: The Rule Part-02 and Kalki 2898 AD.
  • One entry: Lucky Baskhar.
  • Scope: five Telugu feature-film titles and nine award entries in the PIB list; this is not a complete guide to every language, person or non-feature category.

Why do the awards say 2024 when they were announced in 2026?

The years refer to different things. PIB’s release describes the awards as being for films of 2024 and dates the announcement to 18 July 2026. This article preserves that distinction rather than describing the films as 2026 releases or implying the announcement date is the film’s release date.
